Ribbon FOR TUBULAR CONVEYORS
Tubular conveyors transport the material in a closed pipe that forms a belt. As a result of the longitudinal folding of the edges of the belt from a straight state in the area of loading the material into the ring, a flexible pipe is formed in the transportation area. In the discharge area, the belt unfolds to release the material. Since a combination of transverse elasticity and elasticity is important for the belt of a tubular conveyor, rubber-cord belts are most common on such conveyors. As an alternative to cables, cord made of aramid or polyester-polyamide fabric can be used.
To give transverse elasticity and prevent pipe folding, special belt layers are used. A typical design consists of a load-bearing frame and two symmetrical belt layers around it. Conveying in a closed pipe prevents material loss (spillage, blowing) and dust formation. Inclined transport (up to 30 degrees) and conveyor rotations are allowed. It is possible to organize a continuous transportation route with ascents, slopes and turns of the conveyor. At the request of the customer, belts can be manufactured taking into account the requirements for heat resistance, flammability and frost resistance, as for special-purpose belts.
