The load inside the mill is not evenly distributed: for example, carbide metal elements are required in areas of maximum wear, while classic steel alloys or rubber are suitable in less stressed areas.

Combining different types of lining in one project allows:
- Unify and/or multiply the service life of the lining in different mill zones
- Reduce cost by using more cost-effective solutions where performance is not impacted.

In addition, in some cases, this approach reduces the weight of the lining. This reduces the load on the drive and makes it possible to increase the mill load without increasing energy consumption.
As a result, the grinding efficiency, the proportion of the finished class and the overall capacity of the mill are increased.
ROITECH CHRON:® The Solution for Large Diameter Mills
As part of the combined solutions, ROITECH’s own developments are used, one of them is the ROITECH CHRON® series. This is a lightweight steel-based rubber-metal lining for large-diameter mills (usually from 7 meters and above).
The design is based on wear-resistant rubber and metal inserts made of high-strength alloys. The combination provides a balance of strength and load damping.

CHRON® design features:
- the number of elements and fasteners is 2-3 times less than when using a classic metal lining;
- fastening is carried out on the outside of the mill, so installation does not require being inside it;
- reduced weight and load on the drive;
- reduced noise level;
- The profile of the lifters is maintained throughout the entire service life of the lining.
The use of ROITECH CHRON® allows you to increase the service life of the lining by up to 50%*, reduce operating costs by up to 15%*, as well as reduce relining time and improve work safety.
