Converter tipping drive

Converter tilting devices are used to smoothly tilt and accurately position furnace bodies in top-of-the-line oxy-purge converters, steelmaking equipment, to complete a number of process steps, including feeding molten iron to converters, discharging steel, adding materials and repairing furnaces, etc. Converter tipping drive mainly include variable frequency AC motor, primary gearbox, secondary gearbox, and torque balancing device.
They use a fully suspended flexible four-point meshing drive and a torque lever balancing mechanism.
The converter tipper is a key piece of transmission equipment for steelmaking converters characterized by low speed, high load, large gear ratio, frequent starts and stops.
